“The Hiring Process for Job Seekers & How To Ace A Speed Interview”
All interviews are stressful, but speed interviews are a whole different ball game. In a speed interview environment, first impressions really do count. So, make sure you are dressed appropriately, well-groomed and greet each of your interviewers with a firm handshake and eye contact. Remember their name when you are talking to them, and ensure your body language is positive. Whew! That was a lot to process… that’s why you should ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP. This workshop is FREE & OPEN to the public (minimum 16 years of age to participate).

THURSDAY, APRIL 4
7:00PM
ABAC HEALTH SCIENCE/ NURSING BUILDING
Both parents and children are invited and encouraged to attend this event! Lt. Talamantez will lead parents through the dark world of online predators and teach them how to be more aware of what, and who, their children can come in contact with through their cellphone and social media. Talamantez’s presentation introduces parents to how easy it is to contact an online sexual predator on social media sites and will familiarize them with social media apps popular with school-aged children. Unflinching and extremely dark at times, the presentation pulls no punches.
Prior to the start of the training, PARENTS will be placed in a separate classroom away from the children and given training that will be graphic and raw, focusing on the dangers of the internet, online predators, social media and resources that can be used to monitor their children’s internet activity.
The CHILDREN’S training will focus on Cyberbullying, sexting, and education on the dangers of the internet. By doing this, we hope to start a conversation between parents and children about internet safety and personal responsibility that will carry on past the seminar.
